The owner consulted with my husband and I on a complete new roof. He answered our many questions thoroughly and quoted us a fair and competitive price. Once the work was done, he also personally came back out to address a few minor details to complete the job. As a bonus, he also helped repair a downed downspout that has come off in a storm . We appreciate his knowledge and attention to detail, plus his willingness to go out of his way to make sure we were happy and comfortable with our choice.

I interviewed roughly 10 area roofing firms. Many of them are inter-related (Paddy's owner is the uncle of the owner of another firm, etc). Beckers was not the lowest bidder but was fair and had a professional and comprehensive proposal. The replaced my cedar shake roof with a synthetic slate roof that looks absolutely real and stunning. It comes with a transferrable 50-year warranty. The Beckers--father and son team--were consummate professionals throughout. What impressed me most about the Beckers is how they stand by their work, and their commitment to make things right if they are responsible. I have two examples worth sharing. First, they neglected to install ice breaks on my roof. It was not in the scope of work in our agreement. This resulted in damage to my copper rain gutters. After I raised the issue with them, the Beckers installed high quality ice breaks all over the roof at no charge. Second, we had a leak in our house that our insurance claims adjustor blamed on the cricket and flashing where the roof met the chimney. The Beckers inspected it and concluded it was the chimney, not the roofing. The insurance team was adamant, and they spent thousands repairing the designated area. A few weeks later we had Biblical rains. The leak returned. It was the chimney all along. The insurance company wouldn't pay for the chimney as they had \fixed\ the problem earlier. Had they listened to the Beckers, I wouldn't have had another 15,000 in costs replacing a chimney and repairing water damage. Solid team who know their craft and give fair prices and reasonable time lines. By far the best combination of value and professionalism in the greater Wilmington area.
Mitchell was the technician that responded to our home to clean and inspect the fireplace and chimney vents on the roof. I can't say enough about his professionalism, and attention to detail. He was on time, and followed all procedures and guidelines for a safe and socially distant experience. He informed us of what he was doing, and why he was doing it. He even allowed my wife to view the camera monitor inside the chimney, and explained exactly what the video was showing.. Mitchell was able to communicate and educate us on exactly what our next steps should be. Becker's should be proud of an employee like him.
I recently had a roof replacement done by Becker's. After getting quotes from multiple companies, Becker's had the best quote that didn't skimp on the important details and wasn't full of unnecessary extras, all at a fair price. The roof replacement was done in one day, and the work was top notch & neat. All interactions with the Project Manager and owner (Brandon) were professional. I would recommend Becker's to anyone.
I needed to have a post replaced on my porch due to it bowing out. The price I received was very competitive. The work that was done was fantastic. The decorative parts near the post that needed to be disassembled were done so carefully, the new post was replaced perfectly level, and all parts put back as they should have been. I’ve had Beckers do a skylight replacement just before the pandemic, and a fireplace clean out before that, I have always been very happy with all the work they have done.
